Incense Copal Resin

Copal is a fragrant natural resin collected from several varieties of trees traditionally associated with Central and South America.

This Mexican copal comes from trees belonging to the Burseraceae family—the same botanical family associated with Palo Santo, frankincense and myrrh. When warmed over charcoal, the resin releases a sweet, lightly fruity and aromatic fragrance.

Copal has long been used during spiritual ceremonies, meditation, prayer and cleansing rituals. Its warm scent is ideal for creating a peaceful and sacred atmosphere in the home.

How to Use:
Light a charcoal disc inside a suitable heat-resistant resin burner. Once the charcoal is glowing and has developed a pale ash coating, carefully place a small amount of copal resin on top. Add more only when needed.
